Stewarts Coaches is a transport company employing over 50 staff, based in Thames Valley. The company wanted to relocate from a rural farm location to much larger new premises – amalgamating three sites into one. They needed to identify the best telecommunications systems for their needs as well as moving their IT. It all needed to be seamless to avoid downtime for the business.
SUPPORTING THE COMPANY WITH CONSULTANCY SERVICES
We talked through with the client how they wanted to work when they moved into their new building. We carried out a physical audit of the new site and put together recommendations for the right telephone equipment, internet connectivity, network cabling, IT equipment and cooling for the server room. We then sourced equipment and installed it, including ADSL and lease line connections, telephones and switches for the network. We worked with third party contractors for specialist areas.
A SMOOTH TRANSITION WITH CONTINUOUS IT PROVISIONS
We supported the company with IT consultancy services, our strong engineering background enabling us to give guidance on earthing connections for the server cabinet and ensure the server room was set up effectively. We were also able to make cost savings by advising about services that were no longer required. We project managed the move together with the client’s General Manager to ensure the relocation was as painless as possible from an telecoms and IT perspective. A smooth transition from the old sites to the new one with continuous IT provision. We continue to work with Stewarts Coaches supporting them with their IT and telecoms needs.
